Bottles? Wait! What are bottles doing here?
FYI
You may find some content creators from Europe that are in the glass industry, however they can be from two completely different glass sectors: float glass and hollow glass.
Don’t be surprised. For some reason, we have this mix even though these two glass industries almost never intersect. Yes, how often do glaziers, facade and glass fabrication folks get involved with bottles? Like never?
Probably, it is due to Glasstec trade show in Dusseldorf that has both glass industries (float glass and hollow glass) under one roof. There is some intersection in glass kiln construction, or some companies like Bottero can be present on both markets. But we never had the case when a “bottle” guy asked any advice about float glass or vice versa.
Float glass business has much more connections to the stone industry (especially with new engineered types of stone) and metal industry than to hollow glass.
However, hollow glass content creators are also interesting to read even though technically we are from two different industries.
By the way, Glasstec in Germany is the most versatile glass trade show and is definitely worth visiting – it inspires and provides a lot of insight, technical and industry knowledge. Definitely a must-go event!
